Jesse Kardon, aka Subtronics, is a Philadelphia-based dubstep DJ and producer best known for his song "Griztronics," a collaboration with Michigan-based electronic music artist GRiZ that peaked at number Nine on Billboard's Hot Dance and Electronic Songs in late 2019. Subtronics landed at number Ten on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart in September 2019, and his most recent, and debut studio album, Fractals, was released in January 2022.
When FRACTALS released in early 2022, it peaked at number Four on the Billboard Dance Charts. The album, which features heavy-hitting collaborations with Zeds Dead, GRiZ, Boogie T, Sullivan King, and others, has been streamed over 50 million times.
Commenting about the record, Subtronics said in a statement.“I couldn’t believe it when I first heard these vocals… I put a huge emotional effort into writing an intro that fit with the rest of the album and captured the theatrical, cinematic, emotional feeling. Before I got the vocals, it felt incomplete, and once I heard it with them, my jaw dropped. The last drop is super special to me because I’ve been writing a lot of heavy, long – note, rip-your-face-off music, but I have never done so at this tempo. I don’t even think I have heard anyone else do so at 85 bpm.”
Then he went a step further, releasing ANTIFRACTALS, a 24-track record that takes his debut album, FRACTALS, to the next level. The enormous new album includes remixes by a number of his dubstep and bass music contemporaries, including Of The Trees, A Hundred Drums, Virtual Riot, and many others.
