Myers’ new album is definitely ‘heavy on the soul’ as he shares mature takes on enduring love, heartache, and growth — all wrapped up with his bluesy country sound. Two albums at the age of 18, millions of screaming fans, and continuous virality across social media, the man has definitely won over hearts by keeping it real in his songwriting. Recorded at the legendary FAME Recording Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, he’s definitely serious about his craft. 

“I definitely tried to lean into the soul, blues, Motown, Southern rock type of thing… so when I decided that the soul/Motown route was the direction I wanted to take with the album, the first place that popped into my mind was FAME and Muscle Shoals,” he shared with Variety.

As the breakout star dives deeper, he’s truly embracing what it means to be an “old soul” as others might see, but for Myers, he’s just keeping it real as he follows what his heart desires in song. The crowds at his shows definitely prove his impact in young lives, sharing every bit of emotion and relatable life tales in a gorgeous bluesy-country package.

“I honestly do believe I have the best fan base in country music… or in music as a whole. I’m a little biased, but they’re the greatest. There’s never a night where there’s not just massive amounts of energy being thrown back at me,” Myers shared with Variety.
