Train is hitting the road this year to celebrate the Drops of Jupiter 25 Years in the Atmosphere Tour. Yes, we've gotten to that point where a lot of the bands that you know and love from the 2000s are reaching these milestones. Each year, though, brings new performers with something to celebrate! You get a chance to hear some of the most romantic tracks of the 2000s in a live setting.
The Barenaked Ladies are going to be a part of the performance. You're going to know these guys from the Big Bang Theory theme song. They obviously have other tracks, and actually, they're going to be bringing some upbeat music to the night.
Matt Nathanson is the other man taking the stage. "Come On Get Higher" is his flagship track. Don't worry, this is not a reggae concert, so it's not what you're probably thinking.
In fact, this entire performance is one of the best compilations of modern soft rock with the Bare Naked Ladies mixed in. If you want to be a part of this concert, be sure to click the "Buy Tickets" link now.
A lot of people in the comments on Train's official announcement of the tour are saying what many are thinking, but might be afraid to say out loud. It's already been 25 years since Drops of Jupiter first saw the light of day? We're getting old! While that's a tough pill to swallow, you can also look at the bright side of life. Every year now, we get one of these anniversary tours from '90s and 2000s bands that make an entire generation wind back the clock. On this tour in particular, the whole lineup can take you back to a time when life was simple, love was pure, and student loan debts were breathing down your neck. If you want a chance to escape, this is the perfect event for you to do just that.
Maybe at the time when "Soul Sister" and "Drops of Jupiter" were playing on the radio, they weren't necessarily called "soft rock" songs. That tag was reserved for Phil Collins and company, you know, tracks that in the 2000s were already oldies. Looking back, though, a lot of these songs from Train have a deep romantic undertone. Getting a chance to hear them live once again, or maybe for the first time, could help you appreciate that depth that they always had. This has the makings of a truly romantic evening.
The front of the pavilion with the pit area and that closeness to the bands is always a good idea. However, you might be looking for an actual seat. If you were there when Drops of Jupiter hit the airwaves 25 years ago, it's fair if you want to sit down at this concert from time to time. You also have the chance to see the event from the lawn, which is an experience in itself. In short, there are plenty of good spots to choose from.
Spots for this concert start at $73. That's one of the lowest rates of the entire tour! Hit the "Buy Tickets" link now for a chance to be at this nostalgia-fueled night.
